GARDEN STATE SPRITZ COCKTAIL

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 1 Cocktail
Cocktail
  • 1 ounce Cucumber-Infused Vodka (recipe follows)
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/4 ounce elderflower liqueur
  • 2 ounces sparkling wine
  • 1 cucumber slice or edible flower, for garnish
CUCUMBER-INFUSED VODKA
  • 1 cucumber, rinsed, peeled and sliced
  • 1 (750ml) bottle vodka

Instructions

TO PREPARE COCKTAIL:

Fill a glass halfway with ice. Pour in the vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup and elderfl ower liqueur, stir well, then pour in the sparkling wine and stir gently. Add more ice if necessary. Garnish with a slice of cucumber or an edible flower and enjoy.

TO MAKE CUCUMBER-INFUSED VODKA:

Makes about 3 cups.

In a large jar or pitcher, combine the cucumber and vodka. Let stand at room temperature for at least 1 hour before using.
