2020 Farmers' Market Guide
SPONSORED BY
Farmers’ markets represent the best of New Jersey’s food culture. They provide shoppers with easy access to healthy, local Jersey Fresh food while helping to financially sustain Garden State farmers. They also serve as a welcome gathering spot for neighbors, friends, and visitors; a weekly tradition that takes place at the engaging intersection of food + community.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, many farmers’ markets have adjusted schedules and procedures to ensure a safe shopping experience for all this summer. Some markets are offering online ordering and pre-pay options paired with drive-through pick-up. Others offer the opportunity to schedule shopping times. All are practicing social distancing and encourage mask wearing.
The listings are confirmed as of press time, but we expect changes to occur throughout the season. Visit the websites or Facebook pages of individual markets to confirm details. You’ll also find ongoing updates at ediblejersey.com and mycommunitymarketplace.com.
This year’s farmers’ market season will not be the same experience we have all come to know and love, but it will be as essential as ever to the health of our families, our communities, and our farmers. So, when you shop, be sure to give a big thank you and a thumbs up to the market managers and volunteers who are working so hard to make it happen. – N. Painter
