EMILY PETERSON has worked in the food industry since the age of 13: from buskid in the Hamptons to executive chef in NYC. She has taught culinary studies, served as an elected official, and writes widely on food and culture. She lives in North Jersey with her husband, son, and their dog, Rooster.
