- ¼ cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup milk
- ¼ cup plain yogurt
- 1 generous tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Dried or fresh chopped fruit (optional)
- Toasted nuts or seeds (optional)
In a pint jar, mix together the oats, milk, yogurt, ginger, maple syrup (if using) and chia seeds until thoroughly combined; seal and refrigerate overnight.
The next morning, remove the oats from the refrigerator, stir in the fruit and/or nuts (if using), and enjoy. The oats will keep in the sealed jar in the refrigerator for approximately 5 days.
