For years, Wawa has been South Jersey’s go-to convenience stop—and its iced teas remain a store staple. The brand recently paired with Cape May Brewing to take its typical tea up a notch, in the form of a peach-flavored alcoholic beverage appropriately named Shore Tea.

“We wanted to create something that was light, refreshing, and something people could enjoy throughout the day,” says Cape May Brewing Co. Marketing Director Alicia Grasso of the limited-edition product. “Cape May fans love new products and Wawa fans are fiercely loyal. Shore Tea bringing these two groups together has truly been a wonderful experience.”

The tea, which hit the market in July, was Cape May Brewing’s first hard tea; it was prepared by soaking tea in water, then pairing the tea with fermented cane sugar to give it its 4.5% ABV. Despite the fanfare surrounding its release, Grasso says the partnership could be just a one-time collaboration, though she adds that the brewery is “thrilled to see the excitement and love that Shore Tea has received.”
