“We pride ourselves on our small family-owned and operated business because it’s the family feel that translates over to our staff and they create the vibe. They provide our customers with quality wine, exceptional service, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes everyone feel a part of the family after the first sip.” —CMW&V team

Toby Craig and his late wife, Rona, planted roots in Cape May back in 1978 when they purchased the Washington Inn. Then, in 2003, Craig expanded his business ownership even further when he purchased Cape May Winery & Vineyard, which had originally opened in 1989. Today, Craig grows 11 different varietals across four vineyards totaling 24 acres. Despite years of change, one thing has remained constant: The attention to detail and passion expressed by Craig and winemaker Darren Hesington, who work together with the staff to make the best wine possible. Cape May Winery invites readers to become a part of its story. Wander through the many different rooms that make up the winery, explore the beautiful grounds, imbibe with a tasting or flight, and enjoy tapas from the kitchen while discovering their own passion for wine. Wine tastings, tours, and self-guided wine flights are available daily.
