New Jersey Farmers’ Market Guide
findjerseyfresh.com • jerseyfarmersmarkets.com
For those of us who live for local food, farmers’ market season is the best time of year. Community farmers’ markets provide outstanding access to healthy, fresh-from-the-farm food and an unparalleled opportunity to “know your farmer; know your food.” Many markets also feature good-food artisans and entrepreneurs, too. By shopping farmers’ markets, we support the health of our families, the financial viability of farmers, and the health of our local economies. Just as important, we have the joy of seeing and spending time with friends and neighbors in a welcoming setting.
We’ve compiled this guide to help you find your nearest community farmers’ market or discover new ones to fall in love with this year. You’ll find Jersey Fresh produce along with baked goods, pastured meats, artisan cheeses—and a great taste of the spirit and flavor of the Garden State’s local communities.
Market schedules as of press time.
Markets highlighted in purple are participants in Edible Jersey’s 2023 Festival of Farmers’ Markets programs.
NOTE: Many farmers’ markets and vendors accept SNAP, WIC, Good Food Bucks, Senior FMNP, and other nutrition assistance benefit programs. Please refer to the key symbols on this year’s guide. Markets without symbols may accept benefit vouchers as well. When in doubt, ask individual market managers, who will be happy to assist.
