Whitewash by veteran journalist Cary Gillam is the story of a weed killer, cancer, and the corruption of science. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup is used by homeowners and farmers alike. It has become so prolific that it is in our food, water, soil, and bodies. Whitewash dives deep into how pervasive this and other pesticides are in our food production system and how hard corporations have gone to cover up the dangers of pesticide use.
