Nana Milena’s New Jersey Wine Biscuits
The New Jersey wine industry has many things to celebrate these days. It continues to garner positive attention and praise from wine aficionados and national media alike. It has also experienced a substantial uptick in visitors to its vineyards and tasting rooms as consumers looking to “travel local” during the pandemic era discover the scenic getaway possibilities offered by Garden State wineries.
The industry recently took another new step when the Garden State Wine Growers Association launched Nana Milena’s Wine Biscuits, a line of red and white wine biscuits handcrafted using NJ wine. Launched at a June press event at DiMatteo Vineyards in Hammonton and made by Damascus Bakery in Newark, the cookies are now available at Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck, Dolce & Clemente’s in Robbinsville, and all NJ Bottle King locations in addition to the DiMatteo tasting room.
Look for the cookies to arrive in more retail locations and winery tasting rooms in the coming months. BTW, the biscuits pair well with espresso or, you guessed it, a glass of your favorite NJ wine.
