“Our vineyards are what set us apart. We’re constantly checking the vines and reacting to what they tell us, giving them what they need to grow the best quality grapes possible. We have great potential here in New Jersey to become a world class wine region, and we’re doing our best to make it happen.” —Jim Quarella, President & Founder, pictured here with wife, Nancy
Bellview Winery is owned and operated by the 4th and 5th generations of the Quarella family, who emigrated from Italy to Landisville, New Jersey in 1914. They purchased a small piece of land to farm, which they named Bellview, and began growing vegetables to make a living. Over the next century, the farm grew to more than 150 acres, and in 2001, Jim Quarella took a chance and opened Bellview Winery. Today, the family crafts fine estate wines using grapes exclusively grown on their 45-acre vineyard. Bellview is known for producing European-style, food-friendly wines that only improve with age. In the vineyard, the focus is on sustainable management practices, with forward-thinking selections of new grape varieties to best meet the challenges of a changing climate. In the winery, their aim is to maintain the essence of these obsessively-tended grapes, to create the best possible wines from each vintage.
