In December 2014, Sourland Mountain Spirits founder Ray Disch was ready for a new challenge. Cofounder of Princeton’s groundbreaking Triumph Brewing in 1993, he foresaw the coming revolution in craft spirits. A relentless entrepreneur, he had the drive and passion to create his own craft distillery, inspired by his belief that people love quality products. “If you’re not going to try and make the best, why do it?” Working with a team of accomplished partners—and through sheer force of will—Disch was able to grow Sourland from an interesting idea to a thriving business.
With his background in construction, he felt a calling to “build something to last.” It had to be done the right way… New, local, sustainable, meaningful. Those principles are the foundation of Sourland, transforming that entrepreneurial spirit into singular, quality craft spirits. Disch has built both his life and his business in Hopewell; his greatest passion is building community, starting with family.

Clean, plentiful water depends on healthy surrounding natural areas, like forests. Forty percent of the world’s usable water is stored and filtered through forests. From the tree canopy all the way down to root systems, every part of a forest plays a critical role in cleaning and protecting our water supply.
